Founder & Senior Pastor
Bishop Wilson personally leads YDM's leadership and development ministry. Drawing on more than 50 years of ordained ministry — including his service as Administrative Bishop for the Church of God in Eastern Canada — he mentors pastors, ministers, and emerging leaders into the full measure of their calling.
ABOUT THIS MINISTRY
Strong churches are built on strong leaders, and the Leadership & Development Ministry at YDM exists to equip men and women for excellence in service. Under the guidance of Bishop Huel O. Wilson, this ministry develops leaders who are biblically grounded, Spirit-led, and practically prepared to face the challenges of ministry today. Our training programs cover preaching and teaching skills, organizational development, pastoral care, and effective communication. They are designed not only for current leaders but also for those who feel the call of God on their lives and want to be mentored into greater roles of responsibility. Through teaching, encouragement, and hands-on experience, YDM helps leaders rise to their full potential in Christ.
Beyond structured training, the Leadership & Development Ministry provides one-on-one mentorship for pastors, ministers, and emerging leaders who desire personal guidance and spiritual accountability. Bishop Wilson facilitates leadership retreats and conferences that allow participants to step away from daily responsibilities and focus on renewal, vision, and growth. The heartbeat of this ministry is to invest in leaders who will, in turn, disciple others and multiply the work of the Kingdom. By equipping leaders with both spiritual depth and practical skill, YDM ensures that the church remains strong, relevant, and effective in its mission.
